2022 · Ishkoman, District Ghizer

Self-Defense Camp for Girls

In 2022, Zeenat Welfare Foundation organized its very first community initiative: a one-week Self-Defense Camp for Girls in the Ishkoman region of District Ghizer. Around 40 young girls, ages 13 to 18, were brought together in a safe and empowering space to learn essential self-defense skills.

Nationally trained martial arts instructors Neeha Nadeem and Shakira, both from District Hunza, led the sessions. This was a historic initiative — the first structured self-defense training program for girls ever organized in the tehsil. The closing ceremony drew local leaders and community members, who praised the program's impact.
