In March 2023, Zeenat Welfare Foundation launched a one-time Community Scholarship Program in Immit Valley, District Ghizer, Gilgit-Baltistan, aimed at supporting talented students from financially challenged backgrounds.
The initiative brought together students from both private and government schools across the valley, creating an opportunity for them to compete for educational support through a fair and transparent assessment process.
More than 300 students from grades 5 to 10 participated in the scholarship test. After a careful evaluation of the exam papers, 17 outstanding students were selected to receive scholarships. Through this support, the foundation helped cover their school tuition fees, ensuring that these deserving students could continue their education without financial barriers.
The initiative was warmly welcomed by the community leadership of Immit Valley, who appreciated the foundation's efforts to promote education and equal opportunities for young learners. Local leaders encouraged Zeenat Welfare Foundation to continue organizing similar programs in the future to support more students in the region.
The parents of the scholarship recipients expressed heartfelt gratitude, recognizing the program as a meaningful step toward empowering their children through education. This initiative further strengthened the foundation's commitment to supporting youth and expanding educational opportunities in remote communities.
